I Cannot chnage/add/alter my Outlook Calendar

I have a client who is using Outlook 2003 completely patched up. Its a standalone PC using a pst file.
About a week ago she suddenly could not add appointments to her Outlook Calendar. I have checked file permissions and created a new profile to no avail. Which ever pst file is the default the calendar cannot be altered. If a pst file is added it can be altered. I want to be clear,if I have a pst file as the default the calender does not allow changes. if I open a new pst and make the latter the second pst it can be altered.

Im having exactly the same issue however mine is on a network and uses exchange 5.5. The file permissions are all ok but like rich3 can not add remove or so anything with the calender. Any ideas??
