I cannnot play mid files in IE 6 and in WMP 9

I can´t play mid files in IE 6 and in Windows Media Player 9 (error 0xC00D119). With a different player (i.e Winamp) it works. I have Windows 2000 Professional SP4.

Can anybody help me ?
