Can you show us the message headers for the emails that company yyy get from company xxx? Is company yyy getting any error messages or bounce messages from the replies that they send to xxx? We'd need to see those.

Can a user at company yyy create a new email and send it to company xxx?

There are all sorts of reasons for this to happen, but we don't have much to work with here.

Often this sort of problem is due to new anti-spam technologies. Give us more information about the actual domains involved, if you can.

Do the uses from YYY ever get an NDR saying it couldn't be delivered?

Is the MX record for XXX correct?
