On a network switches eniveroement, my machine only can receive/sent packets belong to me.
Or some kinds of boardcast message such as ARP, DHCP request.

I had a PC connected to BayStack 450 (ver. 4.4.0.6).
When I open "Ethereal" to capture some packet for testing, I find some packets not related to my PC but that's not boardcast messages.
Someboby tell me because I am on the same multicast group but the BS450 already disabled IGMP setting.

Anyone had similar experience.

Regards.

Was it only one packet of an conversation, or the whole conversation from a station?

It can be normal, the forwarding database of a switch will time out after a while. The router on your network can have a higher arp time-out configured. So it is quit possible that your layer 2 switches don't know the destination mac address anymore, but the router still sends it directly to him without the need of an arp-request. So your switch will flood this packet.
It must stop flooding the moment that it sees a reply from the endstation
