i can not use index method of VBA 1

Via my access2000 mdb i wrote a VB CODE BUT IT SAYS THAT INDEX METHOD IS NOT SUPPORTED VIA ODBC SINCE I LINK VIA ODBC TO MYSQL DATABASE .. MY OLD CODING I AM USING INDEX METHOD .. TO SEEK RECORDS IN JET ENGINGE WHEN A CHANGE TO MYSQL ALL INDEX STATMENTS IS NOT ACCEPTED

i got lost i can not know where is the answer .. my question is.. i can not you index method via vba if a handle mysql .. index method if very easy with jet engine but with mysql via odbc it gives error
