I have a phone modem on my computer. When I talk on the phone, the audio from the phone can be heard in my computer speakers. How do I turn that off?

There used to be a "phone" setting in windows 2k where you could mute the phone audio. I don't see that in windows XP.

thanks

Only thing I can suggest is either turn your speakers off when you use the phone, or disable the modem speaker completly! Sorry! Steve Hewitt

Check Sounds and Audio Devices in Control Panel. Bring up Voice/ Volume and check what settings you have for "phone line" (you may have to use the options/ properties under Master Volume). Also have a look at any Microphone options. Mine are set as muted.
