When using "cursor:crosshair" in your CSS, you (or others visiting websites you have built) may sometimes see the I-Bar cursor instead of the crosshair.
The solution is to go into Control Panel, then "Mouse", "Pointers", and select the Scheme as "(None)".
Note: I know this solution works for Windows XP - but cannot vouch for any other strain of Windows.
This discovery was borne out of sheer frustration at a problem I've been having recently with the Web Developer toolbar for Firefox (see thread608-1137603).
Hope this helps,
Dan
