twice whilst writing to disk the error code -5000 has come up. so I am building a library of coasters instead of having my system backed up.
Has anyone an idea of what this error means Please

Using Mac 10.2.8 on an 800mhz 17 FP iMac with 80 gb and 256 RAM Superdrive.

Are you using DVD-R or DVD-RW ? I've used DVD-RW with sucess. I get the error on non RW sometimes too. I think it might have to do with the recording SPEED. You can also try setting the burn to 1X or 2X instead of AUTO.

I've also have some brands of cd's perform like trash (every second one didn't work) that could be it
