I am using LINUX 7 and setting up for network use. I am not too familiar with LINUX. My problem is I have set up all my routes and Hosts names and IP addresses. I have also set up my DNS IP addys. Now, I can ping ANYTHING in my Hosts file AND NOTHING that is not in my Hosts file. Can anyone shed some light for me.

Did you set the gateway? You could just not be getting past your router, but if that's what you mean by setting your routes, this is not a lot of help, huh?
