I am trying to use Export / Import

I am trying to use Export / Import maps to show summarised / rolled-up plans (for others I am able to use a filter) in MSP 2007, but it does not seem to be working.

I am performing the following steps:

• Consolidate the MSP plans into one MSP plan.
• I then export all key columns into Excel using a map
• Then using the import routine (via File / Open / Then select the Excel document / Then select the relevant map) I import selected columns and rows back into a Roll-Up MSP plan.
• I only want selected rows from the Excel sheet to populate in the Roll-Up MSP plan, and I identify these using a unique identifier (Deliverable ID) column. This is the field I use as the ‘Merge Key’ in the import routine.
• The idea is that the ‘Name’ column in the Rolled-Up MSP plan is fixed, so I have not included this in the import map as I do not want it overwritten by the data in the Excel file. The only fields I want to update in the Rolled Up project plan are the Duration / Start / Finish dates, using the unique Deliverable ID identifier as the lookup.
• When I try to do the import however, the data in the Rolled-Up MSP plan does not match the source data in the Excel spreadsheet.

Is anyone able to advise what I may be doing wrong please??!!
