I am trying to query data in an Oracle DB and generate reports for a user. What is the easiest program to do this in? Can Access or Crystal Reports be used or is there any other products that will be as painless as possible?

for the End users to write there own reports, I have very good sucsess with Business Objects. it does require some support from the database folks but very little for the amount of result you get. I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

HenryMonster,

So in access, I can hook into Oracle by selecting the DB in the import/export function in Access, correct.

Instead of import/export, just link the tables. File Menu -> Get External Data -> Link. This way, the data stays current... Terry M. Hoey
