I have a partition that I am trying to delete on my windows 2000 server. I can move everything but one file which is edb, which say text document. The file is in the NTDS folder.
the other files in this folder are;
res2,res1,ntds,ntds.dlt, edboo1b6, 3 edb files, drop folder.

when i go to move it I get the following error: cannot move edb: there as been a sharing violation. The source or destination my be in use.

I only have 100mb of free space on my c drive and 20gb on this partition that I want to free up.
can someone help please

Thanks for the Help Rliebsch. I think that I seen that file before, but was not sure if that was really want I need to do.

It did work and i was able to move everything off and delete the partition. My problem now, is that I have allocated the space as free space but it does not show up on the C: Drive. How do i get the free space to allocate to the C drive?
