I am setting up my first Linux box (dual boot w/W2k) and putting it on a network with a W2k Server and an XP machine. The Linux box will be running Apache. It has 256 mb RAM and hda = 7.8 gig, hdb = 15.6 gig. I am using Debian/Linux and I’ve read that a server will take anywhere from 4 gigs (Debian’s site) to 10 mb (Apache’s site)
Be that as it is, I am planning 1 partition on hda and it will be NTSF for W2k OS. On hdb I’m planning to partition 5 gigs FAT32 and the remaining 10.6gigs will be Linux/Apache partitions. This is so I can share data on hdb1 (FAT32) with everyone on the net.
Is this a logical plan?
