Hi,

How can i set Outlook emails to remain Unread always.
After i read them and if the case is solved i will manually make the email read.

By being automatically "read", i am not able to go back and pickup that important email.

any tips .please.
thx

Morning Huntsville!
Depends on how you use your e-mail. The way that I do is similar to yours. I use the preview pane and turn off the mark as read function. This way I can see what e-mails are read or unread. Another way is to use priority flags to set what is important, and clear the flags as you get things done.

Preview pane:
View -> Reading Pane -> Bottom or Side
This turns on the reading preview pane
Tools -> Options -> Other -> Reading Pane
Uncheck the box "mark item as read when viewed in the reading pane"

Priority Flags:
There should be a flag in your column lists. Right-click and select a flag (designated by you by color or whatever). When completed, right-click and clear the flag. A little more involved, but it should work.

Does that help any?

This will allow you to see the e-mail in the preview pane and when you want to clear it, right click the item and select "mark as read"

If it's important, maybe save it as something else? On Outlook 2002, an e-mail will be converted if you past it to Task or Note.

You can also create extra folders where you put any e-mails you need for reference.

Why do you want an add-in when you've been given different options that are already available to you?
