I am attempting to upgrade from windows XP professional to the American English version (AE). I am logged in as an administrator and keep getting an error stating that I must be an administrator to install.

I have tried everything and I really need this system out by the end of today.

I am logged into the local machine as administrator. I have added another administrator account to see if this would fix the problem, no success. In addition, I tried logging on the network as an admin to see if this would over-ride anything, nothing.

What is the problem? The user didn't have administrator rights, so he shouldn't have been able to set anything in the local policies to block us from installation.
