I am after to guidance please,

I am trying to set up GAMMA Sip trunks on a Panasonic NS700, I have followed the Panasonic instruction for Gamma SIP trunks. Incoming calls on the NS700 are fine, outgoing is where I have the issue, firstly, when you dial a number it takes about 40 secs to connect, when it does connect, there is no transmission between callers, when you then clear the call down, I get repeated incoming calls with no transmission, as if its a recall? Anyone any ideas?

By the way, this is the 1st time I have set up SIP trunks,,,,

Thanks

I would say it’s mostly firewall settings.

I not sure if they use registering or non registered setup.

Firewall sip helpers and ALG have to be turned off can cause audio issues

Gamma SIP is authenticated via IP - what firewall are you using?
Gamma sip generally very easy to set up

Hi Calum - I have now put the system into my home office, at home I am using a TP link Archer vr400 Router, and I still have the same issue, initially it was set up in our office with a generic Fire wall.

I am confused with the Documentation from Gamma I have an endpoint 1 and endpoint 2, with different IP address's

Not sure on the recall issue, but with the waiting to dial have you tried dialling number followed by # to send number.

If the above works then I would suggest setting up a dialling plan, which isnt in the general SIP guides.

Thanks for this, yes, it did cure the Post dial delay, Ive still got no transmission though when the call connects, any thoughts ?

Hi Paul
Firstly does your SIP account on the gamma portal point to the correct public IP address?
Secondly have you forwarded the media ports?
Thirdly make sure no SIP ALG on firewall

Hi, I have been in touch with Gamma, and they have done some traces for me, thesis their response:

"Looking at the 183 responses they are supporting 100 rel too so they are waiting on the PRACK coming from site, which never comes through.

Either remove the requirement for the PRACK or respond to the 183 with a PRACK."

Where do I find this on the NS700?
