I always wanted to know if I can backup a copy of my previous PD7333FA (Full Package), on a CD in case something goes wrong with the one that is currently under build.
It also comes handy when I need to setup some new installations. Thanks.

Hi,

You can set up a fat client as a secondary deployment server and then write the package to a CD for remote install. This will give you the backup you are looking for. I used to do this and also keep old packages on the secondary deployment server. This allowed me to manage the available space on the deployment server easily.

JDE does have documents for this on the KG.

You do not need to make a backup of PD733FA if you are doing a full package build of the enviroment. All you have to do is rename the new full package you are building to PD7333FB. When deployed and you are not happy you can just role back to the PD733FA
