Anyone know why if I have hyperthreading enabled in the BIOS on my dual xeon (2.2ghz each) system, during boot (to the SMP kernel) I receive the error/warning:
quote mismatch for
Loading scsi_moD moDule
Inmod /lib/scsi_mod.o
(last line in /startup.rc missing \n -- skipping)
However, if reboot to BIOS, disable hyperthreading, and reboot, the system does not report this warning. Any idea why? This seems to be a very weird error to occur in relation to the hyperthreading of the xeon processors.
(ps. I should also mention this system is having other trouble, apparently with the recognition or mounting of my fs on my SCSI RAID 5 hardware array, as I have discussed in depth in my previous posts. I'm just curious why hyperthreading would cause such a weird error?)
