Hello everyone,

I have a 2520 router in my about-to-be-built homelab. I was trying to practice my cisco command/configuration stuff. Thing is, I can't get through the router using HyperTerminal. I know I got all my settings correct: BAUD-6400,stop bit-1,no parity, flow control-none. Whenever i turned ON the router it boots up all right but it stops at "WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO THROUGH INITIAL CONFIGURATION? (Yes/No)"question and it wont any keypad actions. Can anyone tell me what to do?

Appreciate any help.

Double check your baud rate. I'm pretty certain it should be 9600 baud not 6400

I second that. Also, I would use something else, like Tera Term or PuTTy (I use PuTTy for ssh, and Tera Term for console sessions). Both are free. BAUD is supposed to be 9600 (just click "restore defaults" when setting up).
