There is probably an easy answer to this stupid question but if you dont ask you will never know, so here goes.

I am new to asp and have written a few pages with HyperLinks. These work fine but when a user closes the session and restarts, the HyperLink looks like it has already been activited as the colour is now Purple and not Blue.

I dont know whether this is an ASP issue, a setting on the Web Server or settings on the individual Web Browsers. I am currently using Win 2000 Pro as my Testing Web Server.

Does anyone have any suggestions

Thanking you all in advance

This is a broswer/HTML issue. Browsers are designed to show links as underlines and visited links in a differnt colour.

Add this to your body tag to change the colours.

<body link=&quot;#CC9900&quot; vlink=&quot;#CC9900&quot; alink=&quot;#CC9900&quot;>

Where,
link = hyperlink
vlink = visited link
alink = active link (hover)

I've set them all to the same colour here, but you can play around with them.

BDC.
