Hyperlinks won't open

One of my users (using Lotus Notes 8.5.2FP1) is having a problem with hyperlinks in emails. When he clicks on them, nothing happens - but when he changes the preferences to "use embedded browser" it works.

He has both IE and Firefox and the Operating System is Windows 7. I have tried uninstalling Firefox, but that did not work either.

Yes, everything is set correctly.

i found that in regdit "shell" was missing for http and https:

please merge the following regedit definitions.
