I want to have a hyperlink to a pdf file located on a fileserver, not on the actual machine/server the web site is hosted on.

I can't seem to see the file in a browser, what should I be doing to make this pdf file visible from the web site?

Thanks in advance,

Adam.

Are you sure you are pointing to the right directory?? Sometimes, you can be pointing to a folder above or below the place where the file resides... I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

I am entering the following into my browser:

\\gay0it12\Cockpit PDF\Plant Clearance.pdf

But the browser is saying it cannot see the file!

Any ideas why?

Thanks,

Adam.

Why do you have 2 slashes before 'gay0it12'?? Is that supposed to be in a different directory?? I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

Essentially, all I am trying to do is open the pdf that sits on another server, via a web link, but i don't know why I can't see the file. I am not sure what i should be entering into the browser.

Adam.
