Hello,

I have run into a problem I don't know how to resolve. I have multiple mapped drives on a Win2k3 server. Some drives allow read only access while others allow full control. When creating a hyperlink to a document stored on a read only drive the hyperlink fails with "address not known". This doesn't happen with a hyperlink to a document on a drive with full control priveleges.

Since this seem more related to priveleges on the server I thought I would post my question in this forum. If the post belongs in an Excel forum please let me know.

Thanks,
Lou

RE: stored on a read only drive the hyperlink fails with "address not known".
Are the drive mapping issues from client to the server shares?
Are they mapping directly to the share? and not \\servername\c$\share?

Show us what you have as mappings...change names of course :)
