This happens on Excel 2003. If 2007 and 2010 are different, I'm really interested.

Whenever I make a workbook shared, excel disables the hyperlink. If I unshare it, then hyperlinks are available again.

Is there a way of inserting hyperlinks on a shared workbook without having to unshare it, inserting and then resharing.

Hi,

Collagoration disables many feature in Excel.

Have you read any related articles in Excel HELP?

I looked at the help. The problem is getting the right keywords. I looked for shared workbook hyperlinks disabled but it couldn't find anything. Looked on the internet and all I found was what I did i.e. unshare the workbook. Couldn't find any information on why.

Now that you mentioned collaboration - that is the right keyword. It brought up "Troubleshoot shared workbooks" which listed all the things you could and couldn't do with shared workbooks.

Thanks for the tip.

many times, a search problem occurs whenn your make it too exact.

If you searched on shared, you would see that the word collaborate appears several times.

That's how I DISCOVERED that relationship.
