Heya,
Trying to get for a friend.
She's having problems with links to web pages within PDF documents. When you hover over the link, nothing special happens and it can't be clicked on to take her to a page.

She thought it may have been her version of acrobat (4 i think) but after installing 5 still no go.
Also thought it may have been problemsa with the PDF she created, but happens on other PDF she has as well.

Ideas, anyone? <insert witticism here>

In adobe acrobat you can go to the tools section, click on locate web addresses and check "create web links from URLs in text". If you do not have any URLs in the text, but want some word to link to some other section of the document or open another document or site etc..you need to use the link tool of acrobat (the icon will look something like a short chain)
Hope this solves your problem

This doesn't sound like something in Acrobar Reader.
The documents are converted from Word documents (links and all) using ActivePDF (3rd party conversion software). In Acrobat Reader (3.0/4.0/5.0) the links don't work. I'm still not sure whether it's errors in the creation, or whether Acrobat Reader (what 99.9% of users will have) doesn't support hyperlinks. <insert witticism here>

acrobat reader does support hyperlinks. But you need to create hyperlinks using the link tool available in the full version Acrobat. when u convert a word document into a pdf document using acrobat distller the links do get lost, i am not sure what happens when you use a third party software. the problem in your case must be in the creation. you can see links in reader.

So if I have Acrobat 5 and relative distiller software how could I enable the correct conversion of links from doc to pdf files?
