I am setting up an application which send emails to recipients whose email addresses are acquired from a MS-Access DB table.

The email content contains a hypelink to a website form.

I need to add the ID number of each recipient to the hyperlink so that I can capture who responded to the email request.

Can somebody help me with the syntax of the hyperlink wherein each recipients ID number is included in the Hyperlink?

Thanks in advance.

So you want to add a value to the QueryString?

It could be like this:
[tt][/tt]

Or it could also be like this:
[tt][/tt]

So, whether you use a "?" or a "&" will depend on whether or not there is already a "?" in the URL fetched from the database. I hope that makes sense.

Sheco,

Thanks for your prompt response.

I am not very good with the syntax. Could you please explain what "id" and "x" represent?

The values I am trying to add are from a database table. The hyperlink is in a text document that becomes the content of the email sent to participants.

I am having trouble creating a link with the table.

The email is a customer satisfaction survey request. The hyperlink should have a value which is the team member ID number of the team members the participants are responding about.

This is being done so that I can associate the response of the participant with the respective team member.

So far I am completely confused about how to do this.

Thanks for your help,

Mark.

I assume the goal is to read the email body from a text file, find the hyperlink, pull a team member ID from the database, add the ID to the hyperlink, and finally send an email with the modified body.

If this is correct then the modifying the hyperlink will require working with a QueryString.
