A hyperlink to a pdf file is trying to download the page instead of opening it in the browser. This is a new development, usually when I link to this type of file it opens using Adobe Reader in the browser. I have tried copying the link from another page that is still working and it refuses to cooperate. Any ideas? Are there page settings that might control this?

Thanks

If the application is installed it should open it. Double check your extension .pdf. You may wish to provide the link here for us to test. Which browser and version are yo using? DeZiner

At the moment, I'm using the html page to create a helpfile rather than a web page, so there is no url. The file extension is .pdf, Adobe Reader is loaded on both computers that have tried this. The only difference is that the page was originally created in FrontPage 2002 on a Windows 98 computer, but was edited in FrontPage 2000 (?) on a Windows XP computer. The edited version is where the problems occur.

Any suggestions? Are there any (more) issues with Windows XP that we know about?
