hyperlink not active when word97 form is protected... any ideas?

I have a word97 form with hyperlinks. They are active until I protect the form. Any ideas? Only works when it's not protected.

Place the hyperlinks within separate sections and dont protect those sections.

How can I only protect parts of the document?

I have drop down menus at the top and Hyperlinks at the bottom. I want to protect the drop downs so they will work...But then the hyper links are not active.

Click somewhere before the hyperlinks and insert a section break:

1. From the Insert menu choose Break
2. Click the radio button for Continuous (section break).
3. Click on OK

Then to protect only that section:

1. From Tools menu choose Protect Document
2. Click the radio button for Forms
3. Click on the Sections... button
4. Place a tick in the checkbox only for the sections you want to protect (eg the section where the dropdowns are (probably section 1)).
5. OK both dialog boxes.

Hopefully this will solve your problem.
