I have written a report in CR8.5 that also contains info from an Access database. The report runs from a parameter (Part No.). As you know in CR you can only view the info. The info from the access dbf may need to be changed every once in a while. I want to create a hyperlink to that access database and have it pass the part number parameter from the CR report and have it automatically open to that part number in access. Can it be done?

I don't believe you can get it to go to a specific record in a MS Access database, but you can get it to open a specific MS Access database.

Format the field in question, go the the hyperlink tab, select a file to open, and when you click on the link in the preview window, the MS Access database will open. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

Well, if I can't do that then could I setup a macro or something to bring up an empty Find box when the form was opened so they could enter the part number?

You can probably do an autoexecute macro in MS Access, but I have never done that before. I have done that in Excel. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
