Please does anyone know if there is a limit to the file size one can hyperlink to?
The reason I ask is that I have a number of Excel spreadsheets to which I link, and one of them behaves differently to the others.
Ordinarily what happens is that the user clicks on the link from within our intranet, and the file opens up in the browser. This particular file opens in the browser (eventually) but if the user has Excel open already it opens in there.

The only obvious difference is size...
Anyone got any ideas?
Many thanks

The file size only affects how long something takes to load; it doesn't have anything to do with what you're experiencing. I'd say when the file was created, something was done differently. It might have been originally done in a different version of Excel than the others, for example.

You'll need to do some troubleshooting on it to resolve the problem. I'd create a second version of the same file to test it. My initial ideas are to resave the file and see if that resolves it. Maybe something got corrupted. Another thing I'd try is copying the contents and pasting them into a new spreadsheet. I've found some very odd things in Office XP that are resolved by simply doing these two things.

Yep, you might want to open each file and then save as a different name, all with the same attributes.
