I have a table and file name: tblRunsheet.pdfpath
field pdfpath is the full path and file name to a pdf document residing in a folder on my computer.
PDFpath field is hyperlink type.

The path opens my file if I copy and paste into windows explorer.
Field property is set to hyperlink type.

The hyperlink will not work if I click directly on the field in the open table and it will not work from the path that appears in my form, which is where I need it to work.

How do I get the hyperlink to work?

Thank you!

Robert

Well.... it took me two days to find the answer.
The path string must be stored with # symbol at both ends....

Thanks to HansUp who posted this on Feb 8, 2013 on StackOverflow in "How to display hyperlink." HansUp wrote:

In your form's record source query, concatenate a hash character (#) to both ends of the memo field value.

Code:
SELECT '#' & your_field & '#' AS URL

I hate to have a hyperlink field... But, at least it works!!

Happy coding!!
