Hyperlink calling a CR report (exceeds the 254 limit)

I'm using CR 8.5 and calling a crystal report with a hyperlink.
1. The hyperlink has database fields embedded in it.
2. The hyperlink does exceed 254 char.
3. I've tried using multi text field to combine the hyperlink without luck.
5. I know I can use subreports, but I need this done in a hyperlink.

Any answers??

i have hyperlinks to reports with subreports, the links longer than 300 char.

they work, the only problem i had was within delphi, where i had to add parts of the url which were less than 255 chars. ultimately now my link is just spread over 3 lines, but works.
