hyperlink behaves differently depending on user?

OK, using Crystal 8.5 dev, CE 8.5 Pro.

Have one report that has a hyperlink that takes it to a word document.

The code is:

file://Md50sapp1/Apps/ProdApps/jtrav/Job%20Traveler%20Docs/E1D345.doc

Now, I have full rights to everything, and it works FINE for me. (easy enough)

I have a user, and when SHE runs the exact same darn report,
the hyperlink is NOT the same....very interesting!

When I look at the properties that SHE sees -

NOTE: it doesnt open the document....

I need to understand why / how this is occurring?

It happens even if she logs in as herself (on my workstation) --

Now, there may be some question of rights somewhere in there, but I checked and she DOES have access to the correct location where the word documents are at, so that is not an issue...

Any ideas?

sorry, that cut off..the link that the user sees looks like this:

AND THEN IT HAS THE REST of what I have...

so, what I'm trying to see is - why does she get this first and why does it behave differently for her?

FYI I found the problem and thought I would share...
her settings were changed (which is very strange because only 2 people have access to do that and everybody swears they didnt touch it, but oh well....)

Mine is set to use DHTML view and hers was ACTIVEX....

Switching hers back to DHTML solved this issue.
