Hyperlink and drill down

Hi,

I have say 100 computers with identifying asset numbers in GH2c as a column(location) .

Similarly I have 1 month, 3 months, 6 month, 9 month etc in Gh1c -- these represent the number of computers that have not been audited in these months.

Now i want to create the location in GH2c as a hyperlink to be drilled down.

I already have chart in Gh1b that does the drill down -- but the chart does not give a break down. All it shows is the location and count of computers not audited. Its only when its drilled down it gives the breakdown by months.

So I am trying to replace the chart by hyper linking the location and trying a drill down in that.

How feasible is this?

Thanks
bob

Please identify what fields you are grouping on for Group #1 and #2. It is unclear whether your goal is a chart or drilldown to a detail section. If a chart, what is it you want displayed?

Group #1 fields: Grouping on @dummy group -- so i can get the page footer -- see other thread.

Group #2: Datacenter (Location)
Group #3: Months

So the chart where i want to put the hyperlink looks like this:

(location) month-1 month-2 month-3 month-4

1100.213231.23 49 23 67 200

I want a hyperlink next to the location.When i click on the hyperlink it takes me to a pie chart where it shows the above breakdown. (Right now I have the pie chart -- this pie chart slices when clicked takes use to the 1 month or 2 month details section ) -- how come i already have the drill down ?-- cause above the proposed hyperlink chart I have a pie chart depicting the location - but management would rather see a hyperlink.

let me know if you need more info

thanks

I think you are using "chart" here to mean crosstab. Please explain where the crosstab is located and where the pie chart is located (what section).

I am using:

Main report sections:

Rha --> DrillDownGroupLevel > 0
Rhb --> DrillDownGroupLevel > 0
Rhc --> DrillDownGroupLevel > 0
Rhd --> DrillDownGroupLevel <> 1 + placement of sub-report
Rhe ---> suppressed only
Rhf --> DrillDownGroupLevel > 0

PH ---> PageNumber = 1
Gh1a --->suppressed only
Gh1b --->suppressed only
Gh1c --->suppressed only

Gh2 ---> DrillDownGroupLevel < 2

Details
GF2 ---> suppressed only
GF1
Rf ---> suppressed only
Pf

Sub-report sections below:

Gh1 a _-> headers for the report title etc
Gh1 b --> contains bar chart -- drilling down on any of the bar chart(each bar represents a datacenter/location) takes user to Gh2a and Gh2b , where Gh2b contains a pie chart with a break down of the months of the datacenter.

Gh1c ---> headers
Gh2c ---> @datacenter, @ month1, @month 2 etc --these are all sums, so this is a cross-tab look alike.
Rfa: totals for the above.
