Just remember, you will have to upgrade the integration services also. I am setting my test lab across multiple VMs. just like the Hyper-V tutorials. My lab consist of 16 VMs across three domains. i am excited.
Yeah, upgrading the integration services is annoying. Getting them installed in the first place was fairly annoying too.
Still, it's not bad overall. Have you had a chance to get your feet wet with ESXi yet? That's free now too. You don't get the same functionality as you would with the full VMWare Virtual Infrastructure, but you can definitely get a feel for how things run.
Speaking of which, there is also a beta of Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager that you can get that provides **SOME** of the same functionality for Hyper-V that ESX and VI has. The beta is free though the product will not be. But the SCVMM also has the capability to manage ESX servers too.
