I am looking for a step-by-step for the following:

We have an 866 line terminated to a DID. We want this line to ring at four different phones in order.

So, person calls the 866 line and it ring at

Phone1 => no answer => Phone2
Phone2 => no answer => Phone3
Phone4 => no answer => Phone4
Phone4 => no answer => VM

I suggested MCR like our current MainLine, but they don't want that.
Can anyone help me with setting this up?

Thanks

Just set the FDN and Hunt of Phone 1 to Phone 2, Phone 2 to Phone 3 and so on.

You will need to set the CLS on each phone to SFA (Secondary Forwarding Allowed). I would also set up in the mailbox each extendion as a message DN for the mailbox.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.

but the bad news is, the fdn is good for three targets after that it stops, that call will never get voice mail

Wouldn't a group hunt work for him. Does a group hunt go in the order the sets are intered into the group list in LD 18?

any hunt will work, just not forward no answer. his mcr sell needs to be a little stronger. that's the only way i know to get forward no answer past the third target.. hunt, even with ght is limited to 31 sets and you can build a fna bypass for that.. is the first 30 channels of out modem group, channel 31 is not connected, so it forwards to the pilot of another 30 member hunt..

Ok, so the concensus seems to be a Group Hunt. Any idea how to configure this setup?

Thanks

remember group hunt is only in play if stations are busy. ld 18 new ght

Group hunt will work on no answer also, try using a PLDN to a Group Hunt list. (This may be a European feature only)

haven't tried it. hunt is usually married to a busy condition so i would have to try it before i would swear that it doesn;t work the same on this side of the pond
