I have a request from a customer and I can't make it work. System is 9.0.5 and embedded voicemail.
All calls come into huntgroup 1, group members are receptionist and loud ringer. If not answered in 15 sec, it overflows to huntgroup 2. Huntgroup 2 still has the receptionist and loud ringer, and two more admins. If no one answers huntgroup 2 in 15 sec, it will overflow to huntgroup 3. Huntgroup 3 is a sequential group, and goes the auto attendant, voicemail type is embedded. Ive tested the overflow groups and they work fine.
My problem is the receptionist leaves at 5:00 pm and wants to forward her ext to another user til 8:00pm. Once the the receptionist phone is forwarded to another ext, the overflow groups no longer work correctly. Huntgroup 1 overflows to huntgroup 2 but will never go to huntgroup 3. Since huntgroup 3 can't be reached, the auto attendant can't be reached.
The customer does not want any "cover" buttons on the phones. Is there another solution that will resolve this issue?
