Hello guys, I more question. We have like 3 tech who are on the field/moving most of the time. So they have a cellphone with them.

So, if one of our user dial 1234 : it is possible to forward that to 3 cell at the same time and drop other 2 call to cell phone as soon as first tech answer the call.

I thought of creating a hunt group with 3 extension which forward to cell... but I cannot figure it out how to know if the someone answer the call or not.

I am not sure if it is possible...I wanted to give it try by asking you guys.

Every suggestions are welcome.

Thank you

I'm using an older release of software (4.5) and this can be done with PCA licenses.

Alternatively, if you absolutely have to have this functionality and can't get it on the pbx due to licensing not available, or some other reason, you can go externally obtain a vonage number, point externally to that, and use their simul-ring feature. You never have to deploy the actually vonage adapter, just sign up and use their website to manage the forwarding. It will run about 34 dollars a month.
The only tricky part is to reprogramming the cellphones;
you have three cellphone states - Out of area, busy, or not available.
You have to program via GSM codes (I'm sure there is something similar for CDMA)
1. If busy, forward to a DID number within your switch
2. If not available, forward to a DID number within your switch.
3. If out of area, forward to a DID number within your switch.
All cellphones must forward to unique DID numbers, but can all route to the same mailbox within your switch, so the call comes back in and dumps to a common voicemail.

Hope this helps,

Thank you again

Someone else will need to assist - I don't know if PCA is even called that anymore in the newer software.
