Setup a huntgroup across two Avaya switches (both 4.1(12)) and added in the Advanced Networking license, too. The two ext's on the remote switch that are part of the huntgroup definitely show up in the main switch, and have been added as valid ext's. Even noticed the "advertise group" switch got checked automaticall as well. Also rebooted both switches.

But the Hunt Group Membership tab doesn't populate on the remote switch, showing these two ext's are now part of the huntgroup, and the ext's don't ring as part of the huntgroup either.

Am I missing some other stuff to join up these two ext's? Thought it was all automagic with the new Adv Network license.

Well, I got a little further.. I setup Short codes in both switches to send ext's that are dialed across the line group to the appropriate place. Seemed to be working a little better, but the hunt group is simply not ringing at the ext. on the remote end.

And ALL of these ext's in the huntgroup are Hot Desk ext's, if that makes a diff.

Ed:

What type of processors do you have on each side? IP500, IP406V2?

if you need shortcodes to call the remote extn,s it sounds like SCN is not working

Well, the ext's can reach other ext's already, just by one dialing the other... something else I should check?

Do you have the Advanced Networking License added on both systems?

No just on one system. Basically what our sales rep said we needed... and is that incorrect?

What about if we get the other licenses moved to one dongle? :)

two systems, two dongles, two licenses

You can get around this temporarily if you don't use collective ringing on the group. Have a local phantom user in a sequential group forwarded to a group on the remote sytem with the two users in.
