HUNT when busy is not working properly.

I have a site with an Option 11C (SITE B) tied back to a Option 81C
(SITE A). Site A is where the voicemail resides.


If a call goes to a phone at site B and the person doesn't answer the
the FDN works correctly and the call goes to voicemail. However, if
the person is busy on the phone, the call will not go to the persons
voicemail.


Instead it will go to voicemail and ask for you PASSWORD. I wasn't
sure of what number was being sent to VM, so I tried my password and it
worked. So the calling number internally is being sent to voicemail.
However, this is happening to external calls too, but they are routing
to another extension.


Any ideas where to begin looking... This user only has one DN on key 0.
People with two DN's seem not to have the issue, but this problem
just started recently so I do not want to have to add DNs.

The voicemail is a Octel VMX 200 (Soon to be replaced).

Zog... I will try your recommendations and provide a posting with my results.

Strange this is I do not have all those CLS used at other sites and they are not experiencing this issue. Oh well!

You may want to check your CPND block. I have the same setup with an Octel 250. In CPND, I have HUNT set to BUSY. That's what Octel expects to see. Also, there is a patch from Nortel for 25.40B that fixes some Octel integration problems. I'll see if I can find the patch number.
 
cpm23... Where do you check the CPND block at?
 
I tried Zog99's recommendation, with the same results.

1. Call AutoAttendant
2. Press (1) to route to the individuals DN
3. Successful if they are idle.
4. Go to their voicemail with they don't answer.
5. Go to voicemail main and be prompted for my password when they are busy....

This was doing Zogs recommendations and setting only one DN on key 0. Works perfect if they have two DNs on Key 0 and Key 1. ????

Go to LD 95 to print the CPND. Look in the Octel installation manual for what it wants to see.
 
On the phones where you have multiple lines, try making all lines busy then place an additional call and see if it goes to voicemail correctly. In the Octel there is a feature in some mailboxes asking to check for matching mailboxes. Make sure that the check for matching mailbox is set to "no" in the mailbox if it is there. It's been a while so it's a bit fuzzy. Maybe you could show us how the mailbox is set up?
