Hunt Grps

Have setup various hunt grps for different dept. Hunt 1=sales, etc. Setup as Broadcast and overflow when busy to another hunt grp. Site uses CCR tree and callers hear press 1 for sales, etc. pressing 1 calls hunt grp 1.

Customer wants hunt grp to fwd no ans to another hunt grp. Is this possible?

Sorry, I have a question for you, since you set up Hunt Group already. I am setting up Hunt Group.

How can i set up the DN (because it is just Read Only Field) at the Hunt Group 01.

The DN number is not the number that i want.

I would like to set up a number 4027 so when someone call 4027 it will also ring at 4026-4025-4024.

The DN at Hunt Group 01 is 4403. How can i change that? or probably how to se up the hunt group.

You need to got to the wizards section on the front page and select DN renumber. Then select the hunt group DN and renumber to the correct DN.

If you set the timer on the hunt group. It will overflow after the timer expires.

Thx Marshall I eventually figured out the overflow problem. Had to increase transfer callback. This was my first time working w/ hunt grps. Now I know for next time.

I am one step ahead now. But I still need to try it.

Ok, Here is what I did:

I went to Telephone Service – Hunt group – Hunt Group 30
The DN (read Only Field) in Hunt Group 30 is 4433 (not DID)
And add members:
Member 001 – 4027 assigned to a phone
Member 002 – 4026 assigned to a phone
Member 003 – 4025 assigned to a phone
Member 004 – 4024 assigned to a phone


Then After I ready the advice from Marshall, I went to wizard – DN renumber

Then I have to chose the DN, I chose 4433 (not DID) and change it to 4027? (I have not done it yet, because I am afraid that I made mistake.

If I change 4433 to 4027, then will the DN number at Hunt Group 30 will change to 4027.

Then when someone call 4027 will ring to : 4026-4025-4024.

Also , how the members can distinguish if the call that coming to their phone is because of Hunt Group or because of someone call tem directly.

If you renumber the DN that will work fine.There are three ways to know if the call is from the hunt group.

1 It should say on the display

2 The hunt group can have a different ring tone associated to it.

3 You can have a key on your phone and it will flash when the hunt group rings.

In my case, What number should i need to change for 4433 (DN for Hunt Group 30)?

I Renumber the DN already, so now in Hunt Group 30, the DN is 4027. I added member 4026-4025-4024.

But when I call 4027, It does not ring to 4026-4025-4024.
Mode sets as Broadcast.

Do I miss something?

No sometimes you need to wait a while for the programming to take. But there is also a patch for certain versions for the BCM.

What version of BCM?

BCM 400. I think I just did it. I set up the line that associated with 4027.

I do not really renumber the DN. it tested it several time.

I dont know why. I am still learning.
