Is it possible to press * followed by the number of your group only picks up a ringing phone in your group?

If the group number isn’t known is it possible to press * something to pick up a call in the extention’s group?

*34 picks up any call ringing on a huntgroup extension

You need to be a member of the aforementioned Huntgroup

If you do not want to take calls as a member of the huntgroup , you can be added as a member, but in DISABLED state.

You get no Huntrgroup calls routed to your extension, but you can pick up calls via the *34

If you are a member of several groups then pot luck as to wich call you pick up

another option is to add another short code

shortcode *200
number 200
feature CallPickupMembers

Chesk the system documents for details on the standard shortcodes & further examples of basic programming

Also, directed call pickup can be used against a hungroup extension. I'm assuming it would pick up the longest waiting call (at least, that would be smart).

hope this helps...
