I have an MICS 7.1 MCDN and I need to setup hunt groups at three facilities tomorrow. If I add a dedicated DID to all sets as "Ring Only" with 3 appearances and then place my sets in a group with rotary dialing will that work properly? Do I also need a "group mailbox" or should we just allow the call to terminate at the first available mailbox?

Thanks in advance.

Just give the Hunt group a DID number or you can redirect the target line to the hunt group DN.

Assign the extns to the hunt group and then set it to rotary.
then assign the DID Target line to the hunt group.

This way the call rings the hunt group and will then alternate between the assigned extns.

Members assigned line overflow
221 241 (DID 123456778) 334(VM)

Hunt groups ignore mailboxes unless you overflow the HG to an extn that has a mailbox.
OR
you can create a HG mailbox the overflow to the Voicmail DN(F895)

The hunt group mailbox is the same number as the Hunt group.
EG. HuntGrouup extn 461
Create Mailbox for 461 and name it as HG01 mailbox.
Then over flow HG01 to 334 or what ever your Voicemail dn is.
Press feature 895 on a phone to find the Voicemail DN

Hope this helps

Thank you Snowman!

I have another issue with E&M on another thread, could you take a peak at that one as well?

There's something crazy going on with that one...
