Here's the scenario: (BCM 400/3.7 fully patched)

Analog lines, answered by AA. Option 1 "dispatch" is answered by hunt group 2. Broadcast (30 seconds) with 4 (exts 1,2,3,4 which have no vm). If busy overflow to HG 1 (linear) with 3 members (ext 5,6,7) ringing 3 times each (all these ext's have FNA to VM after 6 rings). This HG should overflow back to HG2.

What happens in the real world:

Call is answered by AA. Callers chooses Option 1 (or direect dials HG2 extension). If HG2 times out unanswered, it goes to member 1 of HG1 (ext 5), rings once and then returns to AA.

All transfer timers (callback and DRT are off).

What the expletive deleted am I missing?

Thanks.

I would confirm your transfer ring back timer on the BCM sounds like that to me. Either that or there is an overflow to one phone that is call forwarded to mail.

I verified all timers and all the HG members. Should I modify the prime sets on the VM DN's perhaps to none?

I think if memory serves if you use a linear hunt group if the extension has a forwrd it will go to mail. That might be your problem have you tried it as a broadcast to see if it does the same thing.

I checked with a co-worker who said that everything I did was right. Opened up a ticket w/ITAS and it's up at level 2.

What our testing showed is that an external call from the CCR tree will transfer a call into a hunt group properly. However, even though all call back timers are off, the VM port is held in reserve for transfer callback (saw this on BCM monitor). A power cycle failed to affect any changes

At the moment, I don't know of a way to affect transfer callback on VM ports.

Anyone?....Anyone?....Bueller?

Following up.....

ITAS Level 2 tried my config on a clean 3.7 machine in their lab and it worked just fine. They then patched the machine with all 7 patches and it started acting like mine.

I smell a new core load coming.

FYI.
