Hunt Groups and Voicemail

I have a hunt group set up DN632 with members DN229 and DN232. The hunt group is set up as rotary with a hunt delay of 4, queue time out of 30, and an overflow to the VM DN. The customer wants that if a call goes unanswered(greater than the 30 sec q timer)the caller is placed into the mailbox of the last ringing agent to share the work load. I was able to get it so that the caller is placed into DN229's VM by placing the hunt DN632 as an alternate ext. to DN229's VM box. Just wondering if anyone has an experience to share with regaurds to this request. Thanks Justin

How did you actually get it to go to the mailbox off the extn.
Was this just by assigning the HG 462 to mailbox 229 as alt extn.
I've never tried it that way.
I must try it as it seems a good idea.

Normally Huntgroups ignore voicemail unless overflowed from the huntgroup to ring an extn and then forwards to the extns mailbox.

Eg HG2 Dn462- queuetimer - overflow to extn(229)cfwd to VM

I normally set up a hunt group mailbox for 462
In AA Add a mailbox 462 and assign it to extn 462.
then overflow HG to voicemail DN(F985)default 334

EG: HG2 Dn462 - Queue timer-overflow 334(VMDN)

Now when a call rings the huntgroup it overflows to voicemail and the Callpilot sends it to the 462 mailbox.
Assign Alt Extn for indicator to mailbox 229,232
Both extns can now see messages.

Please note that these extns cant have there own mailbox.
They can only have the HG mailbox.

Hey that is a great idea, the last time I've set that up I had to use an overflow extension with voicemail.
