With a new 8.0.18 w/ CCR;

Hunt group has agents built in but all are logged out. Calls to the hunt group are queued/queue message is played until VM Timeout is reached.

Shouldn't proper function be if no agents are logged in, calls to group go to groups VM, not remain in queue? My support channel thinks this to be true, but it is not behaving this way. Any ideas?

No. Queuing does not care who is there, it will queue until it reaches a timeout, in this case VM. Its simply waiting for an agent to be present. I've heard/read that in 8.1 you have the option to overflow/gosomewhere when no agents are present.

That can be done on R8 too, if collective ring you can make it happen on all releases if you know how :)

Enlighten us, won't you?

With collective I think this just happens, no?

Not the case w/ Sequential groups, I guess.

I even tried creating an overflow group w/ voicemail coverage, but noooooo....

If using a collective group do not set the overflow timer, instead set the no answer time and it will ring the group until that expires then go to overflow, if all users are busy/logged out it goes straight away...that's pre R8

R8+ it's an option in the group

Ahhh thats right, the immediate overflow options on no active agents. Forgot about that. Some reason I thought it was in 8.1. Shows how many of these r8 i've done lately.

But if you don't have queuing on...then there's no...queuing, just waiting...which...is still queuing, but not.

Ok but how can i make my hunt group busy?

Is there no way?

Make sure it's not collective call waiting, turn VM off, turn queueing off and have no overflow groups or fallback in incoming call route :)

That's exactly what i've done.

Does it matter that it is a ccr hunt group?
