Is it possible to setup voicemail hunt group that uses the same extention number as the hunt group?

Can this be a DID and point to a virtual (no physical phone) extention?

You can make a incoming call-route to a mailbox.
Make a shortcode like.

999
"Mailbox"
0
Voicemailcollect

Incoming Call-route
Number xxxxx
Destination 999

And in VM-Pro

Create a Module named Mailbox
Now connecd the startpoint to a mailbox.

Al calls will go directly to the mailbox.
In the toolkit CD-Rom are al kinds of totorials is realy great.

I would like the call to route to the mailbox only after it has rang all of phones on the hunt group. Do your instructions above cover this?

V/

Create a Shortcode:
SC = any free number
TN = #GroupName
function = voicemail

create a phantom user and divert all calls including group calls to the above shortcode.

Add the phantom user at the end of the group list, as all stations are passed then as last the call will go to the VM Box of the group.

Only works for linear groups!

Looks to me you got your answer here.

o dont forget to make a sourcenumber at the stations you want to have notafication that there is a message.

Like H200

200 is the huntgroup number!!

I have found that the simplest way to accomplish this is:

1) If it's hunting linear then make sure your allocated answer interval (AAI) is high enough to accomodate each users AAI. Exp. if there are 4 people in the group and their AAI is set at 15 then I would set my Hunt Group AAI to 60, so that it has time to ring each person before going to VM. Of course, you would need to create a user under groups.

AAI (to use the ammerican terminoligy) is how long a wcall will ring at EACH extn before going to overflow or VM
