Hey There,

We have Avaya IP403 3.2 (53)units and I have a Linear hunt group with 3 extensions. If all 3 people do not answer their phones in order I want it to automatically go to the voicemail box of ONE person's extension (that happens to be in that hunt group)as a last resort. What is the easiest way to set this up?

Turn vm on for the group. In vmpro client add a leave point for the huntgroup. Drop a leave mail action and populate with the desired user. Connect the start point and the leave mail action then save and make live.

Be sure to adjust the vm timer for the group to suit your taste.

Okay thx... quick question though how/where do I add a leave point for the hunt group? (the first part of what you said)I see the leave mail action thing and I see where you can sort of populate in a user but I'm confused about the first part and connecting it...

See below, tick Leave and a new start point for the group will appear :)

You first need to select the group you want to add the leave startpoint for obviously :)

Awesome thank you so much I will go try to do this...

Personally i would recomend the calls go to the group mailbox & give each user access

I do not Have A.D.D. im just easily, Hey look a Squirrel!

Hey IPGuru :)

Is there a way to have the red light turn on their handset each time a central voicemail is left in that centralized box WHILE still having their own voicemail light come on for their own voicemails? That way if they still have a red light on and are wondering why the red light wont go away it will dawn on them they need to login to the shared voicemail box (and hopefully that would turn the light off for everybody else after they listen to the new message)

source number H200 to light the message light for huntgroup 200 on the users phone.
That way it will light for both and only turn off if both mailboxes are empty

And if they are not a member then a password should be entered.

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Don't forget you need a shortcode or button to collect the messages doing it that way :)
