Hi Guys

We have Avaya IP Office 5.2 and voicemail pro.

I have a hunt group called "Test" with voicemail on. I have configured a source number with HTest for a user.

If i leave a message i can see it within phone manager on the PC but if i double click it to play the message, instead of playing the message it calls the whole hunt group.

i tried to set up a Short code *99 with voicemail collect to the group but says "you have no new messages"

any ideas?

Thanks

Have you resttarted Phone Manager? Are you getting message delivery to the handset?

Ive restart the the PC not the phone system yet. If i dial the hunt group voicemail it says "you have no new messages"

Voicemail collect
action: "?Test"

Make the user a member of the hunt group.

Also look in monitor to see the voicemail event and see what box you are actually polling.

The HTest is only to notify for new messages.
The VTest will give the user direct access to the group voicemailbox but only is that user is a groupmember.
Then you need a shortcode or Visual Voice or a programmed key to access the VM box in collect mode.

The working mode of VM Pro has some influence in the operation of the above I believe but I always use IP Office mode as this mode is the most friendly to use by customers (despite the lessser options which are hardly used).

Intrigrant,
I'm not sure how accurate that is. The V is just for personal mailboxes, I believe, and perhaps *external* access.
You can just put HGroup in the user sourcenumber and have direct access to the voicemail box without a passcode, even if one is set, through visual voicemail.
By removing the VXXXX for the user, you force VM to prompt for a passcode, the users passcode, to get into voicemail (visual). Once in, you still have access to all the HG mailboxes that you have an HGroup set for.

Sometimes Hgroupname does not work and Hnumber does in most cases.
I would try Hnumber now as Hname does not work.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I use it all the time and maybe the V is not necessery but it doesn't hurt either....
