hunt group missing from call center view group list setup but in Mgr

hello,
about a week ago I added a new Hunt Group to our IP Office manager and voicemail pro software and have been successfully making calls to it. Today I was trying to add an entry for the new hunt group in Call Center View's Group List, but in the Available Groups selections it's not in there to select?? However, if I open the Delta Server in a browser that CCView pulls it's data from, I see the Hunt Group in the Groups Diagnostics screen.
How do I get the group visible to Call Center View?

The users in the group must have forced login on in the telephony tab. Once you have done this, the group will appear in the call center view settings menu in group list. It may few minutes for the information to populate to the CCV.

So why did having forced login enabled make this work? Why was that step necessary?

Forced login enables the user as an agent which uses a license to be tracked within CCC.
